Lateral sinus augmentation is recommended when residaul bone ht is less than 5mm. This is dead guideline.

HPISE (Sohn et al 2008) usually elevates sinus mucosa up to 10-30mm high with 10-20sec application of water pressure.

The amount of mucosal elevation is similiar or more as lateral sinus augmentation

Simultanoeus implant placmene is also recomended when residual bone ht is more than 5mm. This concept is also old guideline. If we cuse underosteotomy, we dont need to be afraid of simultaneous implant placement.
